Choosing a Doypack cap: how should spout and pouch compatibility be assessed?
Assess the opening diameter, spout-to-pouch connection and filling conditions separately, and prepare a technical enquiry with the right information.

Do not decide from the opening diameter alone
When choosing a Doypack cap, first identify the complete product code and the spout being assessed with it. Peksan 011.031CWF11N is a two-piece HDPE closure specified for flexible packaging; 11 mm is the hole diameter. That single dimension does not establish compatibility with every pouch or filling line. The sheet reviewed is KK.UB-71, Rev.0, dated 27 January 2026.
Separate the cap–spout and spout–pouch interfaces
The fit between the cap and spout is separate from the joint between the spout and pouch. The product page describes attachment to the pouch by heat sealing. Specify whether the enquiry concerns the upper cap, the spout or the matching two-piece assembly. Do not substitute components from another code based on appearance alone; confirm the drawing and supply scope.
Share pouch and application information together
For technical assessment, it is useful to provide the pouch construction and material at the sealing surface, the relevant drawing, the product to be filled and the known filling conditions. Application method and equipment details also help. Do not use pre-use conditioning or application-temperature information in the sheet as a heat-sealing machine recipe. Do not transfer an unspecified temperature, time or force from another package.
Define what the trial result covers
Agree the sample and assessment scope with the pouch supplier, application team and closure supplier in advance. Record the pouch and closure codes, conditions and acceptance criteria used. A component dimensional check alone does not establish leak-tightness or shelf life of the finished package. Do not automatically extend a successful result to a different film, filled product or line.
What should your technical enquiry include?
Include the full product code, assembly scope, pouch/drawing information, filled product, application conditions and the question to resolve. Mark missing information rather than guessing. For example: “What information and samples are needed before assessing 011.031CWF11N with this pouch construction?” Review the technical sheet on the product page and include it in a product-specific quotation or technical assessment request.
